The RIDA training course has a duration of 2 school years, divided in Academic studies and Choreographic work. To facilitate a better integration with the international artistic field, the course takes place entirely in English. Students are not required to have an advanced level of the language, but the willingness to learn it in the year course, the program provides english classes taught by a mother language teacher. RIDA will be divided in 3 periods, will have a fixed team of teachers and according to each period will work with guests artist from different european countries and the United States.
Classical Ballet technique will have an important part in the year course.One of the main goals is to interrelated this technique with all other disciplines of the program. Students will learn how to work this technique with their own bodies capacities.The class will emphasize;Clear understanding of joints rotations, the use of the center core,articulation of phrasing, differentiation of dynamics, use of space, projection of movement and Personality.
The modern techniques offered in this course are Limon & Cunningham
Limon technique emphasizes; natural rhythms of fall and recovery, conscious use of breath and the interplay between weight and weightlessness.
Cunningham technique focus on: strong and controlled torso and legwork, Unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction.
Students will learn to express personal ideas,thoughts and mental images within the movement language of a particular teacher.Emphasis on the understanding of weight, dynamics,space and the development of a personal voice with in a particular contemporary dance style.
This course will provide classes of Floor work, Partnering and Release technique.
To Structure movement that comes from the mechanics of improvisation exercises will be the main goal of this course. Great focus on authenticity & Individuality. Students will learn, choreographic and improvisation exercises, examples and will have discussions & feedback.Students will work at their own capacities and artistic interest, they will create a solo.
Students will be able to learn how to generate movement on all levels and they will need to reflect upon personal possibilities, boundaries and gaps.
1. A general knowledge in dance history is offered with a more intensive focus on modern and post-modern dance, in order to understand, evaluate and refine the approach to dance as viewer, dancer and dance maker.
2. By exploring and researching on historic dance themes, the student can appreciate different forms of dance expression and develop a personal knowledge, which has now become essential for the new artist’s profile in the contemporary dance field. This area can be of great interest for students who want to deeply contribute to the development of dance in Italy: becoming familiar with the roots of contemporary dance, students are able to deeply inform our contemporary art expression.
This course offers a general studies of basic Anatomy in combination with conditioning training technique. Conditioning training is designed to promote perfect alignment, improved placement, proper breathing, and prevention of common injuries. Students will learn how to modify exercises to target specific areas to enhance flexibility and reduce muscle tension. Each student will personalize their own conditioning program based on their individual needs and goals.
This course offers the possibility to each individual student to develop confidence when using English in a vast range of everyday situations.Whether students are at Elementary or Advanced level of the language, they will learn: skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, combining this practice with vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
Theater is presence & relation.Through a combination of different exercises and guide improvisation sections, students will be stimulated to get in touch with their own expressive nature and to work with their bodies & voices as tools to translate it to the external world, in an original and conscious way, beyond techniques. The main goal of this course is to develop and expand each idividual personality to the excel of a unique performer. 
 Hip Hop can be an important support for contemporary dance. With the study of the basic elements from “Popping”, an Old School style which is based on muscle contraction (pop), dancers can learn how to use every single part of their body. With isolations and muscles perception they can reach a better execution of contemporary routines and new choreographic compositions.
